Instrumentation
The Pomin group has access to roughly 1500 square feet of dedicated high-end instrumentation space with built-in backup power for sample storage and high-end instrumentation, which houses four Bruker NMR spectrometers (three 400 MHz and one 500 MHz). This space is adjacent to roughly 200 square feet of sample preparation space, in the new West Wing of the Thad Cochran Research Center. The Pomin group also has access to roughly 500 square feet of space in Faser Hall, which houses two NMR spectrometers, nearby to the Pomin wet lab. The Pomin group also has roughly 600 square feet dedicated for their use in Faser Hall, connected to the Thad Cochran Research Center at every level. This space is directly connected to an additional roughly 600 square feet protein expression lab, which is shared by the Pomin group and the Sharp group. An additional adjacent roughly 240 square feet for a sample preparation lab is similarly shared between the Pomin group, the Sharp group and the Stevens group. All labs are equipped with chemical fume hoods, Ethernet and institutional WiFi access. Additionally, Dr. Pomin has roughly 50 square feet of dedicated office space at the Faser Hall 4th floor (room 417A). Two 400 MHz NMR spectrometers are housed closed to his office at room 409.

Thad Cochran Research Center, University of Mississippi
The Thad Cochran Research Center (TCRC) consists of 115,900 square feet of lab and office space. Faser Hall, a four story building of approximately 52,000 assignable square feet that houses the School of Pharmacy and is attached at every level to the TCRC. TCRC houses two NMR instruments (one 500 and one 600 MHz Bruker magnets).
Resources
Animals
A well-equipped, state-of-the-art animal research facility that is accredited by AAALAC (Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care) is available in the same building as Dr. Pomin’s laboratory. This facility includes a cage wash, 32 animal/procedure rooms, and facilities for biocontainment, surgery, and necropsy. Separate housing rooms are available for mice, rats, and larger animal models (including designated rooms for reverse light-cycle). Rodents are housed in open and OptiMice racks. Additionally, there are four rooms for drug administration and behavioral analysis within the animal facility, as well as one preparatory and storage room. Together, these rooms cover approximately 1,000 square feet in the vivarium. If needed, supplementary space can be made available within this facility. Dr. Harry Fyke, a veterinarian, oversees the maintenance of the animal research facility and its three full-time staff feed and care for the animals. This facility has successfully supported rodent studies for over thirty years. In addition to animal space, offices, locker rooms and data entry facilities are provided for researchers.
Computer
The Pomin group houses numerous computers for NMR and bioinformatic analysis, all of them are linked to the Ethernet network. Institutional high-speed WiFi access is available throughout both Faser Hall and the Thad Cochran Research Center.
Office
Shared resources for printing of documents and posters are available for free or at highly subsidized costs for School of Pharmacy members. Dr. Pomin has roughly 200 square feet of dedicated office space on the Faser Hall 4th floor (room 417A).
Other
The Science Library, a branch of the University of Mississippi Libraries located in the TCRC, maintains a chemistry/pharmacy collection which contains over 69,000 volumes and receives approximately 450 journals and standing order serials, including online subscriptions to Medline, Lexi Pals Drug Guide, International Pharmaceutical Abstracts, SciFinder Scholar, Web of Science, ScienceDirect selected titles, Biological Abstracts, Agricola and ACS Web editions full-text journals. The library has study carrels, study tables and three group meeting rooms with a total seating capacity of 161. Hard-wired and wireless access to the internet is provided ,as are 14 PCs and one networked printer. The Science Library has access to nearly 100 electronic databases, 3,000 electronic journals and over 25,000 electronic books via the Main University Library. All offices are connected to the library via Ethernet connections.
