Research Interests
Expertise: Impact of pollution (such as pharmaceutical compounds) on aquatic organisms
- Effects of pharmaceutical compounds on growth, development, and reproduction of aquatic organisms.
- Mixture modeling and assessing the potential of compounds for mixture effects.
- Assessing the impact of complex environmental contaminants such as wastewater treatment plant and/or pulp and paper mill effluent.
- Further development in molecular biology, linking changes in gene expression to environmental contamination
- Adverse outcome pathway development, as well as tying adverse outcome pathway conception to experimental design
- Early life stage toxicity testing and alternatives to the fish model such as embryo toxicity
