Call for Proposals

The Glycoscience Center for Research Excellence (GlyCORE) is pleased to announce our Call for Proposals for the GlyCORE Research Project Leader Awards, and Pilot Project Program Awards, with a Letter of Intent due 09/27/2024 and a full application due 12/19/2024.

GlyCORE anticipates supporting one Research Project at a direct cost funding level of $150,000/year for three years to begin 4/1/2025, and one Pilot Project of $100,000/year of direct costs for one year to begin 4/1/2025.  The awards include four mechanisms of support: financial support of the research program, highest priority access to subsidized Research Cores, a required mentorship program, and research dissemination opportunities.

Research Project Leaders must hold a tenure-track faculty appointment (or equivalent at research institutes) and must qualify as NIH New Investigators or Early Stage Investigators. NIH-defined New Investigators or Early Stage Investigators will receive priority for Pilot Project Awards. Applicants may apply to either or to both programs. Research projects must fit within the portfolio of GlyCORE, which supports research in all areas of glycoscience.

A virtual information session is scheduled for Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at 10 a.m. Please email kkballer@olemiss.edu for the link to join.
